A really beautiful and unique timepiece. The original Lunarium has been so popular I wanted to design a piece that was even more exquisite and practical. The main dial is a traditional twelve hour clock with the lunar cycle displayed underneath. This is a simplified design compared to the original but features much clearer lunar icons. The dial has been designed to show an approximate point in the phase of each lunar cycle rather than an exact point. Like the original Lunarium, the moon phase movement is not a standard 12 hour one but rotates once per lunar cycle. The 'twirly' part in front of the hand rotates a lot quicker so you can make sure the batteries haven't run out. The whole clock has two separate movements, each of which requires a single AA battery.
Another improvement over the original Lunarium is the design of the hands, instead of the mechanism's spindle showing through, the upper hand or 'signifier' is now capped off with a dark coloured Rhinestone, this really adds another bit of luxury to the piece. The movements of the Tempus Pretium are locked in place with an ornate piece of scrollwork on the rear making it easier to accurately set both sets of hands without the potential of the movement shifting slightly.
The clock can be wall mounted using the hanging point on the upper mechanism and I'm also including a free little stand should you wish to use it as a mantle clock (just push the pieces together).
